16 Great Deals on TVs, Apple Headphones, Soundbars, and More

With the Super Bowl around the corner and the weather still freezing in most of the northern hermisphere, now is a great time to snag some home entertainment products to help you make it through until the grass starts growing again. This week we’ve found excellent discounts on the best TVs, soundbars, headphones, and some other favorite tech.

Interested in venturing outside? Check out our list of great camera gear on sale right now.

TV Deals

LG C1 OLED TV

LG C1 OLED

With a 120-Hz refresh rate and super-low input lag, the LG C1 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is the best-looking TV I’ve ever used to play video games. It also has perfect black levels, a very easy-to-use interface, and a remote that you can point and click like the Wiimotes of old. It’s the prettiest screen I’ve seen for the price.

If you don’t need a mammoth screen, this is a solid deal on a very decent Samsung. It has the company’s quantum dot panel for brighter colors and comes with the proprietary image processing to make sports look smoother. It also has Google Assistant and Alexa built in.

You buy a Sony TV for great processing, and that’s what you get with this X85J model. It has a 120-Hz refresh rate for smooth sports and gaming, and Sony’s 4K X-Reality Pro engine upscales standard HD content to look prettier on the 4K panel.

Do you also hate that most TVs come with legs way off on either side, thus making your existing TV stand useless? The Q80A is a great TV that comes with a center pedestal stand, so it’ll fit on legacy furniture.

Sony makes the prettiest TVs that money can buy, and this OLED model is no exception. If you want a TV to use in a small viewing space, or if you want an additional monitor to stream videos and games, this is an excellent choice, even at the still-hefty price for its size. A center pedestal stand makes it easier to place than other models.

Headphone and Speaker Deals

Apple Airpods Max

Apple AirPods Max

Photograph: Apple

The AirPods Max are the best sounding wireless headphones I’ve ever heard. Typically, they come with a hefty price to match, but this weekend they very nearly approach what you’d pay for a similar (but worse-sounding) model from Sony or Bose. If you’ve been waiting to snag a pair, now’s a good time.

The new AirPods Pro are the same as the old ones (8/10, WIRED Recommends), but they now come with a MagSafe charging case, which makes them better for those of us who break cables. They’re currently the cheapest I’ve seen them, which makes it a good time to buy nicer AirPods if your older pair is starting to have super short battery life.

In the market for a pair of noise-canceling earbuds? This new model from Sony (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is a bit bulky—I’d avoid if you have smaller ears—but they offer the best noise reduction I’ve ever heard from a pair of earbuds. Pop them in, and the rest of the world will disappear.

I like the Alexa-enabled Polk Audio React (8/10, WIRED Recommends) because it’s a modular soundbar system. You can start with this bar, then add a subwoofer or surround speakers down the line, as room or budget allows. The Alexa functionality is also great for setting timers and for checking the weather before you step outside.

Everyone needs a soundbar, and this one is very cheap. The wireless subwoofer will make all your favorite shows and movies come to life, and it means this thing is not awful for playing dance music or karaoke.

Sennheiser’s hyper-expensive Ambeo soundbar is a single thick speaker array that is capable of filling even large rooms with high-fidelity sound. It’s also one of the spendiest single-unit soundbars that money can buy, which is why a $500 discount like this one is worth noting. If you’re in the midst of a remodel and have the budget, this bar sounds nearly as good as a dedicated surround sound system but in a much sleeker package.

It’s not the steepest discount, but I’ve fallen in love with these little speakers from Sony. They’re about the size of a beer can, and they allow you to bring your favorite songs with you, thanks to an IP67 dust- and water-resistance rating and 16 hours of battery life.

Computing and Home Deals

iRobot Roomba j7 robot vacuum

iRobot Roomba J7+

Photograph: iRobot

Roomba makes the best robot vacuums, and its self-emptying models have been the only ones we’ve found that actually work as advertised. It’s still spendy at this price, but if you are tired of vacuuming, a robot vacuum like this one will be a godsend—take it from someone who owns two dogs.

We’re big fans of the M1 Macbook Air (9/10, WIRED Recommends.) Even at $50 off, it’s a worthwhile buy for those who need a very powerful portable computer with excellent battery life. This deal is also available at Micro Center for an even steeper discount, if you can pick it up in person.

Still spending hours on Zoom calls each week? Consider increasing your audio quality with a mic like this Blue Yeti X, which comes in a sleek black color and will seriously up how good you sound to your peers.

Slow internet has been a struggle for many of us throughout the pandemic, and this Orbi mesh router system from Netgear is our favorite solution for larger homes. It’s rated for homes up to 5,000 square feet.

Tech Deals

Google Pixel 5a

Google Pixel 5A

Photograph: Google

This deal has been around for a few weeks, but it’s a great one. The price matches what we saw for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The Google Pixel 5A (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is an amazing device with a great camera and fantastic battery life. The affordability is icing on the cake.

This is one of the best MagSafe accessories on the market. The built-in magnets make attaching the tripod to compatible iPhones quick and easy, while the flexible legs allow for perfect positioning in nearly any filming environment. We haven’t seen it sell for less.

The HyperX Cloud Stinger is a capable headset that’s compatible with both desktop computers and consoles. I use one every time I game. It has good sound quality and comfortable ear cups, and while it goes on sale pretty frequently, it’s hard to find a better option at this price point. Check our roundup of the Best Gaming Headsets for more.

earbuds

Jabra Elite Active 75T

Photograph: Jabra

These frequently-discounted headphones have since been replaced by a newer generation, but they’re nearly as good—and much more affordable. Jabra makes some of the Best Workout Earbuds money can buy.

This pair of Sony headphones are our favorite for most people (9/10, WIRED Recommends). You get some of the best audio quality for the money, not to mention excellent noise canceling technology, long battery life, and a supremely comfortable fit. They regularly dip to this price, but they’re well worth it. Be sure to check out our Headphone Quiz to find the best headphones or earbuds for you.

This deal may not be available in all zip codes. We generally like accessories from PowerA—especially since official Nintendo hardware is both rarely discounted and sometimes hard to find. The cord is 10 feet long, so while this Pro Controller dupe isn’t wireless, it shouldn’t be too cumbersome. The official Switch Pro Controller from Nintendo is much better, but it’s also five times more expensive, so if you just need an extra controller for multiplayer, this may work fine. Read our full list of Nintendo Switch Accessories for more ideas.

Trying to find discounted computer components right now is nearly impossible outside of one-off deals like this one. With two RGB fans as well as an RGB pump head, this liquid cooling system will look good while it keeps your rig temperatures low. Corsair’s iCUE software allows for fan speed control, lighting adjustments, and automated fan curves. Check out our guide on How to Build a Desktop PC for more recommendations.

Razer Kiyo Pro webcam

Razer Kiyo Pro

Photograph: Amazon

This deal is for a renewed version of the Kiyo Pro, one of the Best Webcams thanks to the automated light-adjustment software. It has been tested by professionals to ensure the quality is up to par, and it also comes with a 90-day money-back guarantee. Amazon will refund or replace the item if it doesn’t look and perform like it should.

We recommend this microphone in our guide to the Best Podcasting Gear. It offers studio-quality sound at an appealing price point—one of the lowest we’ve seen—and the on-board smart knob and light meter allow you to adjust sound quality in real time.

The Nokia XR20 (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is usually pretty affordable, but saving $50 makes it even more appealing. This incredibly rugged smartphone has expected features like good battery life and a bright, balanced display, but we especially like the headphone jack and super-strong glass.

iPad

iPad (2021)

Photograph: Apple

This iPad (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is the Best iPad for most people. It has all of the bells and whistles one would expect from an iPad, in addition to a better display and improved internal storage, plus it’s compatible with older accessories. There’s also an upgraded front-facing camera. In terms of price, this deal is fine. It’s been fluctuating between $330 and $300 for a few months. However, it’s better to get something on sale than to pay full price, so if you’re going to buy it, now is a good time to do so.

The newest addition to Bose’s noise-canceling lineup have been going for this price since Black Friday. We loved the older QC35 II version, and these are even nicer, with better battery life and improved microphones. The active noise cancellation is handy for both meetings and chatty roommates.

This is the absolute best flash drive, and it’s down to a match of the cheapest price we’ve seen. It’s speedy and durable, and there’s even a built-in loop so you can attach it to a key ring. The drive is also backed by a lifetime warranty. The deal is part of a larger one-day sale on Sandisk and Western Digital storage.

iRobot Roomba j7 robot vacuum

Roomba J7+

Photograph: iRobot

This is the Best High-End Robot Vacuum on the market. It’s been this price since Black Friday, but sold for at least $50 more before that. It has powerful suction, good self-navigating features, and a smartphone app that can learn your daily routine to make automated cleaning even more convenient.

Similar models were down to $60 during Black Friday week, but this deal still saves you $20 off the normal price. It matches the best deal we’ve seen since August. This individual coffee brewer is great for keeping in an office or spare bedroom (or on the counter if you don’t need to brew big batches of coffee at a time.) It includes a container that can store up to 9 coffee pods, which will help streamline your countertop. Consider picking up a reusable coffee pod, which lets you use your own grounds and cuts back on plastic waste.

Deals on Everything Else

Tentree Atlas Sweatpants

Photograph: Tentree

Available in both men’s and women’s sizes, these eco-friendly sweatpants are some of our favorite sweatpants on the market. They’re incredibly soft and comfortable, and the price is more appealing than subpar pairs we’ve tried. The company plants a tree for every pair sold.

Another eco-friendly pick from our guide to the Best Loungewear, this bright hoodie is available in a wide array of colors and sizes. The slouchy fit and roomy front pocket are comfortable and cozy—great for hibernating during cold winter weather.

This sweatshirt is my favorite, ever. It’s fun and colorful, and while it keeps me warm, the cropped fit makes it work in warmer weather as well as deep winter cold. The colors have stayed bright despite many washes.

This sweat-proof undershirt is a great base layer, and the reversible neckline makes it work for nearly any outfit. It adds a layer of warmth but not bulk, and it can be worn several times in a row without washes, extending the life of clothes (and shortening required laundry time.)

This physical game includes Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. WIRED staffers love both of them. The aesthetics and soundtracks are beautiful, and the stories offer both catharsis and hope. This price is the lowest we have tracked.

72 Last-Minute Christmas Gifts on Sale Now

This year it’s more challenging than usual to get presents for your loved ones on time. Fortunately, even if you’ve waited till the last minute to start shopping, you still have a few options. We’ve gathered up some of the best deals we can find that also have a solid chance of making it to your home before Christmas.

First, a Few Tips

Finding a gift at the last minute can be a hassle, especially when you start seeing the dreaded “Arrives after Christmas” label on items online. However, there are a few tricks you can try to make sure you get gifts in on time:

  • Look for in-store pickups: Sites like Best Buy or Walmart list items for delivery but may also have an item in stock in stores near you. Check to see whether a location in your area has an item you can grab in person sooner than it might get delivered to you.
  • Check alternative retailers: We’ve done our best to find the retailers that have stock and shipping windows that can still get gifts to you in time, but if you find something you really want to get someone and it won’t get delivered before the holidays from one site, try checking others, including the manufacturer’s.
  • Consider similar versions: The phone you want in space gray might be back-ordered, but there may be sky blue units that can get there sooner. Or maybe the laptop with a little more or less RAM is in stock. If a timely gift is more important than its exact specs, you can try tweaking some details to get it sooner.

Even after testing more mattresses this year, the Helix Midnight Luxe is still our favorite. It’s plush and comfortable and designed to prevent back pain—the springs are firmer in areas that need more support. Unfortunately, it’s also super expensive, but if you can afford it, we think you’ll really love it.

Avocado Green Mattress on bed frame

WIRED senior reviewer Scott Gilbertson said this is the only mattress he and his wife agree on, despite her liking soft mattresses and him liking firm ones. We’ve also had two other folks sleep on it for an extended period of time and like it. It somehow combines both firm and soft qualities and has held up over the past year. There’s also a pillow top option for those who need a super soft mattress. This is our favorite eco-friendly mattress, made from organic latex, wool, and cotton. There’s no polyurethane, fire retardants, memory foam, or chemical adhesives. The company is also a certified B Corporation that’s purchasing enough offsets to be able to say it operates as a carbon-negative business.

This hybrid foam/spring mattress was one of WIRED reviews director Jeffrey Van Camp’s favorite mattresses. He called it a “true runner-up in comfort to my top pick.” It packs individually wrapped coils within five layers of foam of various densities, including a 1.5-inch top layer that provides some soft cushioning over the firm, supportive inner layers.

We like the grid-like texture of this all-foam mattress. WIRED reviews director Jeffrey Van Camp says it felt cool and airy, like lying on a bunch of silicone waffles. Since there are no inner metal coils, it will feel different from a hybrid mattress. Purple offers a 100-day return policy if you decide an all-foam mattress isn’t for you, although since it takes time for the foam to break in, they’ll make you wait at least 21 days before returning it.

If you’re a side sleeper, you know how hard it can be to find a comfortably shaped pillow. Three types of shredded memory foam fill the Tempur-Cloud, allowing you to shape it as you like for side sleeping, back sleeping, and facedown sleeping. The cover is removable so you can wash it.

Headphone and Earbud Deals

Need more help? Try our WIRED Headphone Quiz. We’ll match you to the best pair of earbuds or headphones in 3-5 questions. We also have guides to the Best Wireless Headphones, Best Noise-Canceling Headphones, Best Wirefree Earbuds, and Best Workout Earbuds.

Sony WH1000XM4 headphones

Sony WH-1000XM4

Photograph: Sony

These are our favorite wireless headphones for most people (9/10, WIRED Recommends). They have some of the best noise-canceling you’ll find for the price, a fantastic soundstage and audio quality, and improved microphones for better call quality. These headphones have reached this price a few times since mid-October but rarely fell below $278 before that.

The Powerbeats Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) are the best workout option for people who have trouble keeping earbuds in their ears. They sound pretty decent and work super well with iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks—thanks in large part to Beats being owned by Apple.

The ColorBuds (8/10, WIRED Recommends) are the third generation of incredibly comfortable wire-free earbuds from the small audio brand 1More. They have a six-hour battery life, support for the AptX Bluetooth codec for higher-quality wireless audio, and an assortment of comfortable ear tips that all but guarantee a good fit. They’re also IPX5 rated, which means they can withstand rainy walks and sweaty workouts.  We also like the ColorBuds 2, which aren’t a whole lot more expensive.

Phone and Tablet Deals

Google Pixel 5a

Google Pixel 5A

Photograph: Google

The Google Pixel 5A (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is our favorite smartphone for most people. This $400 phone has a crisp OLED display, two-day battery life, and 5G antennas. It also comes with Google’s top-tier camera tech, like Night Sight for low-light photography. It’s hard to do better at this price.

The Pixel 6 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) was only released in October, but it’s already seen a few minor sales. This is the first Pixel to use Google’s custom Tensor processor architecture, which lets it handle complex machine learning tasks on the phone itself, without sending your data back to Google. This makes voice dictation super fast, and the new Magic Eraser feature can intelligently remove people or objects from the background of your photos. Our Pixel Phone guide has more details. Availability for this one may depend on which stores near you have it in stock, so check your zip code on the site.

When we reviewed the Galaxy S21 5G (8/10, WIRED Recommends), we liked it for its impressive display and performance, stand-out cameras—though arguably it’s been topped by the Pixel 6 Pro since then—and nice-to-have features, like wireless charging and a 120-Hz screen.

The Nokia XR20 (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is our favorite rugged phone. It took multiple drops on the pavement in our review without getting scuffed. On top of its durable, grippy texture, this phone comes with wireless charging, IP68 water resistance, and best of all: a headphone jack.

The Galaxy Tab S7 FE has a larger display than its S7 sibling, measuring 12.4 inches. It comes with the S Pen and has 64 gigabytes of storage. Unfortunately, it has pretty midrange performance, there’s no fingerprint scanner, and the screen can’t hit the 120-Hz refresh rate of the standard S7. But at this price, those trade-offs might be worth it.

If you don’t mind spending a little extra, you can get the Galaxy Tab S7 with a sharp 11-inch LCD display and a 120-Hz refresh rate, and it even includes an S Pen stylus. There aren’t a lot of good tablets that support the Google Play Store, and this is one of the better ones.

Laptop and Home Office Deals

We’ve got guides to the Best Laptops, Best Cheap Laptops, Best Chromebooks, Best MacBooks, and plenty more. Our Best Work-From-Home Gear and Best Office Chair roundups might be handy if you’re looking for gift ideas.

Macbook Air

Apple Macbook Air

Photograph: Apple

For a high-end laptop, this is a pretty great deal (even if it’s one we’ve seen before). It features a 14-inch, 4K HDR touchscreen with an Intel Evo Core i7 chip, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512-GB SSD. The Yogi comes with Windows 11 Home, and you’ll be able to handle most everyday tasks with it; just don’t expect to do much gaming or heavy video editing.

We’ve seen this one dip as far down as $850 on Cyber Monday, but this is a good deal on our favorite MacBook. The first-generation M1 chip is a powerful processor that blew away benchmarks when it first came out. The laptop also has a sharp 13-inch screen, all-day battery life, and a fanless design that makes it ultra quiet. Be sure to have a look at our MacBook Buying Guide to see which model is right for you.

This 13-inch laptop from Razer packs a respectable 11th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16 gigabytes of RAM, and a 512-gigabyte SSD. Better yet, it has a vibrant 4K touchscreen display with ultrathin bezels.

We liked Microsoft’s Surface Laptop 4 (7/10, WIRED Recommends), and this is a solid deal on the AMD version of it. It comes with a nice 3:2-ratio screen that offers extra vertical room for reading and working on documents. A few other configurations and devices are also on sale, so have a look at our Surface Buying Guide.

The Galaxy Chromebook 2 (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is our pick for the best luxury Chromebook. It comes with a solid yet lightweight aluminum chassis, a color-rich 1080p display, and all-day battery life. Plus it comes in red—that’s pretty cool.

Razer Kiyo Pro webcam

Razer Kiyo Pro

Photograph: Amazon

The Razer Kiyo Pro is one of our favorite webcams, and our only complaint was its high price. This deal fixes that. This 1080p cam delivers great picture quality with its large, adaptive light sensor. However, you may want to tweak the settings in the Razer Synapse app to make it look even better.

You can save a ton of space on your desk with compact keyboards, like this 60 percent board, the Razer Huntsman Mini. This is one of our favorite mechanical keyboards for gaming, thanks to its compact size, RGB backlighting, and satisfyingly clicky keys.

We test to find the Best Mechanical Keyboards here at WIRED. This didn’t quite make our list, but it is a great one. Compared to a typical membrane keyboard—the kind on your laptop—a mechanical keyboard feels more tactile and, for many of us, more pleasant to use. Das Keyboard is one of the original brands behind the 2000s revival of mechanical keyboards, and it’s built up a quality reputation in this increasingly crowded market. The X50Q is a full-sized keyboard, meaning it has a number keypad so it can pull double duty for gaming and work.

The Logitech G Pro X is our favorite mechanical keyboard, and for good reason. You can customize it with different key kits, with three different switch types: GX Blue Clicky switches (for a crisp click and thicker keystroke), GX Red Linear (for a quieter, smoother, but still satisfying keystroke), or GX Brown Tactile (with a soft stroke and tactile feedback). Pair it with the powerful G Hub software and you can set up your workflow exactly how you like it.

Logitech G305 computer mouse

Logitech G305

Photograph: Amazon

The G305 is a favorite among WIRED’s reviews team. It’s affordable, ergonomically comfortable, and will run for up to 250 hours on a single AA battery. It also has a mere 1-millisecond latency, which means lag is practically nonexistent. Even if you’re not a gamer, you should think about using one. A cheap gaming mouse will do wonders for your wrist.

This is our favorite wireless mouse, owing to its clicky buttons and responsiveness. It comes in a variety of hand sizes, and its ultra-stable wireless connection has an impressively long range. In our testing, we used it up to 10 feet away from the computer with no issues.

Want to upgrade the quality of your microphone? Whether it’s for a new podcast you’re mulling over or the covers you’re recording for YouTube, this USB mic is a great step up from the built-in mics on your laptop or phone. Read our Best Podcast and Livestream Gear guide for more details.

Samsung’s T7 portable drives are among the fastest external drives around, and they’re some of our favorites. They’re lightweight, with solid metal enclosures, and I’ve even used them to record 6K footage on professional cinema cameras. If they can handle that, they can handle backing up your files with no problem.

Home Theater Deals

LG C1 OLED TV

LG C1 OLED

Photograph: LG

LG’s C1 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is the best TV we have tested this year, hands down. It has gorgeous black levels, hyper-fast gaming response times, and one of the best smart TV interfaces on the market. You could use this as a gaming monitor for your PS5 or Xbox Series X, or just enjoy the rich colors of the latest blockbuster movie.

This HiSense ULED TV (8/10, WIRED Recommends) almost clinched our top pick for televisions we tested this year. The price-to-performance ratio on this is matched only by our favorite TCL TVs. However, this model comes with Google’s smart TV software, which might be enough to push it over the edge if you’re committed to that ecosystem.

The TCL 4-Series used to be a bit underpowered, but these days it packs the same punch that older 5- and 6-Series models used to. That makes this 43-inch version a great buy as a secondary TV for, say, a guest room or your bedroom.

LG’s NanoCell LED technology makes colors look great, and it comes with the Magic Remote, a point-and-click-style remote from LG that works a bit like Nintendo’s old Wii remotes. It makes picking items from a menu or typing in a password a breeze. Now, it’s even cheaper than we saw it on Cyber Monday.

This smaller display from LG is a great option if you want to fill out a guest room, or want a really big computer monitor. For an entry-level OLED from LG, it has gorgeous colors with deep blacks and astonishing highlights.

Chromecast

Photograph: Google

The Google Chromecast With Google TV (8/10, WIRED Review) remains one of our favorite 4K streaming devices. It’s the best version of Google TV, it finally comes with a remote in the box (unlike most previous Chromecast devices), and it naturally has Google Assistant built-in. You can search for a show or movie to find out which of the numerous streaming services has the content you want to watch, and even add movies to your watch list from Google searches on your phone or computer.

If you’re more of an Amazon household, the Fire TV Cube (6/10, WIRED Recommends) may be more your speed. It’s designed for “hands-free” streaming via Alexa voice search. In our experience, it didn’t handle this task super well, but thankfully it also comes with a remote. Right now it’s just slightly cheaper than we saw it on Cyber Monday.

This Roku Streaming Stick supports 4K and HDR streaming and even Dolby Vision audio in one little package. The included remote comes with dedicated buttons for popular streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, and Hulu.

Roku’s Streambar is a simple device that does its job well. On top of being a solid soundbar, it comes with Roku OS on board. You can plug it into your TV and stream movies and TV shows from it, rather than relying on a separate streaming stick.

Smart Home Deals

iRobot Roomba 694

iRobot Roomba 694

Photograph: iRobot

This midrange Roomba from iRobot is a good place to get started if you’ve never owned a robot vacuum before. It’s quiet and powerful, and the app makes it easy to set up and program your vacuum. You can even command it with either Alexa or Google Assistant.

This is our favorite cheap robot vacuum, and it’s not hard to see why. It runs for more than 100 minutes at a time, and it can dodge cords, laundry, and other obstacles it happens to come across. With the clickable coupon, it’s even cheaper than we saw it on Cyber Monday.

For pet owners, this is one of our favorite robot vacuums. The Roborock S6 MaxV (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is a powerful, fast vacuum with long battery life, and it can even avoid messes your pets left behind.

Nest security camera

Nest Cam

Photograph: Nest

The battery-operated Nest Cam is one of our favorite outdoor security cameras, but it also works well indoors. You can take it off its magnetic mount when you need to recharge it (usually around once a month). It records 1080p video and can detect motion to alert you when something’s happening in or outside your home.

While we haven’t tested this new battery-powered Nest Doorbell, it adds HDR and night vision to the previous version. That should cut down on how much bright lights blow out your footage. It can also send you customized alerts for people, packages, animals, or cars.

We’ve tested previous Nest Thermostats and liked them. While we haven’t tried this one yet, it can set schedules for your home’s heating and cooling system, and you can even control the temperature from your phone. You can also set it to give you reminders when your filters need changing.

The Philips Hue smart lights aren’t cheap, but it’s hard to get better for your money. With full-color bulbs, you can set color temperatures for white lights or tweak scenes to add a splash of color to your home. This kit includes three bulbs, a wireless remote you can stick to the wall, and the bridge you’ll need to connect it all up.

Kitchen Deals

KitchenAid Professional Mixer

KitchenAid Professional 5-Quart Stand Mixer

Photograph: Target

KitchenAid mixers are the stand mixer for home bakers. The price tag might put you off, but the laundry list of things they can do will bring you back. You can cream butter, knead dough, and grind meat (with an attachment) quickly and easily with one of these. This deal tends to go in and out of stock, so if you catch it, don’t wait too long to jump on it.

A sous vide precision cooker is an excellent way to cook food to make absolutely sure you don’t overdo it. The temperature-controlled bath heats water to a precise temperature and keeps it there, letting you cook food as challenging as whole turkeys without error.

If you’re not quite ready to make the jump to the stand mixer, this hand mixer can still whip up some egg whites or mix cookie dough with ease. It’s lightweight and cordless, which makes it a great pick for cramped kitchens.

Primula’s Burke immersion brewer is still our favorite cold-brew coffee maker. It was on sale for $4 off, and now it’s not as of December 21, but it’s still incredibly affordable, so we’re keeping it listed. It can make up to 32 ounces of coffee at a time in a couple of simple steps. Just put coarse grounds into the mesh basket, pour water through it, and in 24 hours you’ll have smooth, flavorful iced coffee.

Giant blenders can be powerful machines, but if all you want is to make a few smoothies, this is the blender for you. The Nutribullet is designed for single-serve smoothies, and the container you blend in can even be used as a cup so you can mix a drink and get out the door quickly.

The original Instant Pot became famous for combining the abilities to slow-cook, pressure-cook, stew, bake, and broil. With a quick rinse, you could go from making homemade yogurt to roasting a whole chicken. Now, it’s available with an air fryer lid accessory for making dishes such as crispy fried chicken and turkey.

If you’re eternally short on counter space, finding room for your cutting board can feel like an involuntary yoga session. This solid maple cutting board fits over a standard-width sink so that it doesn’t have to compete with mixing bowls and other prep surfaces. This price is also available at Home Depot.

Loungewear Deals

We’ve just recently updated our guide to the Best Loungewear, and already some of our favorites are on sale. You can find some of the best deals below.

California Cowboy men's fullzip hoodie

California Cowboy PCH Full Zip Hoodie

Photograph: California Cowboy

This earned our top pick for full-zip hoodies in our loungewear guide. It features eye-catching retro styling and is loaded with pockets, including one waterproof pocket that you can zip closed to store your phone or matches. It even comes with a pocket on the back for bottles so you can keep your drink close.

It takes a lot of confidence to name your product The something, but The Might Company earned it with The Sweatshirt, one of our favorite pieces of loungewear. It’s bright, colorful, and has a cropped hem that looks great and feels comfy.

One of our honorable loungewear mentions, this top and shorts set is a great balance of comfort and value. While it gives off pajama vibes, it could also be worn in everyday life if you paired it with a good jacket or the right pair of shoes.

Another of our honorable mentions, this hoodie is fairly expensive normally, but it’s also incredibly snuggly and comes in a unique bottle green color. The matching joggers are similarly $45 off, which makes the set together a much more attractive deal.

These unisex pants are so comfy you could wear them every day. They’re loose without feeling baggy and come with deep pockets that won’t have your phone falling out every time you lie down. As sweatpants go, they’re pretty flattering, too.

Luimix S5

Panasonic Lumix S5

Photograph: Lumix

The Lumix S5 is our favorite mirrorless camera for those who want to shoot video with a full-frame sensor. It supports V-Log recording, anamorphic 4K, and uncropped 4K at 30 frames per second. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this camera at a price this low, but it’s still a great model to grab for filmmakers.

This camera is lightweight and compact, and it can shoot some really nice 4K video for its price. It doesn’t feature the interchangeable lenses or total control over the picture that larger DSLR or mirrorless cameras do, but for vloggers and independent content creators who want something that looks good without as much fuss, it’s an excellent choice.

Insta360 One R Twin

Photograph: Insta360

The Insta360 One R Twin Edition (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is an action cam that can double as a 360-degree camera. Its interchangeable lens blocks let you attach a 4K camera, a dual-lens 360-degree camera, and a wide-angle Leica lens paired with a 1-inch sensor for 5K video. It’s one of the more versatile systems you can get in such a compact package.

Every young filmmaker neglects their audio at first, but fortunately it’s easier than ever to upgrade yours. This shoe-mounted shotgun mic from Røde is compact, runs off a single 9-volt battery, and does a pretty good job of focusing on just the sounds coming from in front of it. I’ve shot with it, and while it’s not a miracle worker, you’ll be happier with it than with your camera’s onboard mic.

Another shoe-mounted shotgun option, this mic from Deity is similar to the Røde mic above, but it has a +20 dB gain stepless gain knob. This lets you dial in just the right amount of gain so you can get the best audio without peaking. For comparison, the Røde mic only has a switch between -10 dB, 0, and +20 dB. Both are good options, but if you like a little more control, this mic might be better for you.

Snag Free Beans From Our Fave Coffee Subscription Service

Fresh beans can make a world of a difference if you’re trying to brew better coffee at home. Save yourself a trip to the store and have them automatically delivered straight to your doorstep! Atlas Coffee Club is one of our favorite coffee subscription services, and it’s exclusively offering WIRED readers a free first bag of coffee beans along with a 1.8-ounce coffee sample (brews around four cups) from Guatemala.

A 12-ounce bag usually costs $14. The company usually offers a free first bag promotion during major sale events, like this past Cyber Monday, but the additional sampler sweetens the pot. The only catch? You’ll need to sign up for the subscription during the checkout process and you’ll get charged when your next bag ships in the following weeks. If you realize you don’t need the service, you can skip a month, pause the service, or cancel it completely before you’re charged. Click the link below to see the promotion at checkout. The deal runs through December 13.

Why We Like Atlas Coffee Club

Atlas Coffee Club.

Photograph: Atlas

Atlas Coffee Club delivers single-origin beans—roasted in Austin, Texas—to your home every two or four weeks. You can customize the frequency, as well as whether you want a darker or lighter roast, whole beans or ground coffee, and how many bags you want per order. What makes the service unique is every month you get a bag of beans from a different country, and it cycles through more than 50, ranging from Indonesia to Brazil.

The bags come in snazzy designs inspired by the places the beans are from, with a postcard about the country, and another card detailing the tasting notes of the beans and recommendations on how to brew. The free sampler from Guatemala included in this promotion is made with a process called anaerobic fermentation, which removes oxygen from the coffee cherries in the early stages. Atlas says it added local fruit starters “to ensure a healthy fermentation and to produce the right level of yeast to find the perfect balance of fermentation and flavor.” It’s different from what you’ll get in the regular 12-ounce bags.

Special offer for Gear readers: Get a 1-Year Subscription to WIRED for $5 ($25 off). This includes unlimited access to WIRED.com and our print magazine (if you’d like). Subscriptions help fund the work we do every day.

Google Nest Audio

Target, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond

The Nest Mini, discounted to $25, is all you need if you’re entering the smart-home world for the first time, but the Nest Audio (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is what you want to upgrade to if you’re chasing better music quality. Pair two and you’ll get a pretty great stereo system. They can double as Bluetooth speakers, or just ask Google Assistant to play music through your favorite music streaming service. Assistant can also control your smart-home devices, and it will try to answer anything you ask it, from weather updates to whether onions are toxic for dogs (they are).

Amazon, Target, Best Buy

The newest Amazon Echo (8/10, WIRED Recommends) delivers more robust sound in all directions thanks to its 360-degree shape. There’s also a 3.5-mm output so you can connect it to any existing speaker systems. Talk to Alexa to control your smart gadgets, set timers, and get news alerts. There’s a lot this little sphere can do.

The speakers aren’t as good on this model as on the Echo above, but what makes this model special is the parental controls; you can set time limits, filter explicit content, and review activity. You get a year of Amazon Kids+, which includes Audible books and games (it’s $3 per month afterward).

Target, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond

Smart displays show the time, double as picture frames, and give you a fixed touchscreen to control your smart home devices. We like Google’s newest Nest Hub, which is powered by Google Assistant. The speakers and mics are solid, and it’s great for the kitchen or bedside table (there’s no camera). It can even track your sleep, though the feature was a bit wonky when we tested it.

We haven’t tested this exact Wyze Cam model, but we have used its predecessor (it’s in our Best Indoor Security Cameras guide). This bundle pairs it with the second-gen Nest Hub for a tantalizingly low price. You can view the video feed from the Nest Hub by asking Google Assistant to pull it up.

Arlo security camera

Best Buy, Lowe’s (Out of Stock)

In our Best Outdoor Security Cameras guide, this is our favorite. You get crystal-clear footage during the day and at night, thanks to a 2K resolution and support for HDR. There’s a built-in siren and two-way audio, so you can talk to people through the camera. We needed to recharge it after less than three months of use. This deal is on the 3-pack.

Target, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond

If your household is equipped with Google Assistant-powered smart devices, then you might want to give Google’s new Nest Cam a shot. It works indoors, with clear 1080p video and two-way audio. There’s HDR and night vision support too, plus motion notifications for people, cars, and pets. The battery version is also on sale for $150 ($30 off), and it needs a recharge after around a month. For more, see our Best Outdoor Security Cameras guide.

Walmart, Amazon

One of the nice things about Eufy’s security cameras is that they don’t require a subscription and you can record video locally on a HomeBase hub. The EufyCam 2 Pro made our Best Outdoor Security Cameras guide for that reason, but also because the two included cameras produce crisp and clear footage at up to 2K resolution and boast an extremely long battery life. On the downside, there’s no HDR, it can be slow to access the video online, and the activity zones are limited.

Pet Accessory Deals

This carrier complies with the sizing requirements of most major airlines, and I really like it. The handle can double as a leash, there’s a pocket on the side for storing treats, and you can keep your dog hooked to the bag. The mesh makes it breathable, plus a sturdy (and plush) base means your pup can take a nap in the air or on a train. I also regularly use Roverlund’s new pet tote, which is perfect for subway rides in New York City, where dogs are required to be in a bag.

This is an expensive litter box, but a deal on it is rare. We tested and wrote about it in our guide to the Best Cat Toys and Supplies. It has detachable sides and comes with a place to hold the included scoop and dustpan.

Two WIRED reviewers have tested and love this DNA test for cats. It’s a fast turnaround, and you can get a ton of health and breed information about your little kitty. This isn’t the lowest price we’ve ever seen (it dropped to $69 in 2019), but this is still a pretty great deal.

a box full of dog treats and toys

BarkBox.

Photograph: Barkbox

Barkbox offers a customized box of toys and treats for your dog delivered to your door every month. For new members, the company is offering double everything—toys, treats, and chews—if you subscribe to a six or 12-month plan. BarkBox is in our guide to the Best Dog Tech and Accessories, and for good reason. The toys are high quality, as are the treats, though you might quickly feel overwhelmed at the number of treats that pile up. It’s a lot.

No one wants the horrible shock of finding out that their beloved friend is sick. A DNA test can help you figure out what to expect in the future, and it gives you cool breed info too. Embark is the most expensive dog test we tried, but it’s jam-packed with information. You can even find your dog’s relatives.

We tried the older Fi collar and loved it. It uses your home’s Wi-Fi, cellular, and GPS networks to keep track of your dog if they got lost and track their fitness. There’s a light included on the collar for walking at night, and the brand says the battery should last three months.

Mattress Deals

These aren’t the only mattresses on sale. We’ve rounded up more of our favorite mattresses here. For more details, read our Best Mattresses buying guide. We link to the queen-size mattress for most of these, but other sizes are on sale.

mattress

Helix Midnight Luxe Hybrid Mattress.

Photograph: Helix

Of the dozens of mattresses we’ve tested, this is our favorite. It’s the only one that put WIRED reviews director Jeffrey Van Camp to sleep in a bright room full of other folks testing mattresses. It has a medium-firm feel that is comfy for several sleeping positions, and the hybrid design offers better support for your back. This deal includes two free pillows.

Enter BLACKFRIDAY at Checkout

This affordable mattress feels more expensive than it is, with gel-infused memory foam to keep your body cool and individually wrapped coils for great edge support. The high-density foam gives it a medium-firm supportive feel. You usually shouldn’t skimp on a product you will use every day, but if your budget is tight, then this is one of the best bangs for your buck.

Casper’s hybrid was the palate cleanser for WIRED’s resident mattress tester, Jeffrey Van Camp. It has a nice balance between soft and supportive, it’s breathable, and it’s moderately priced—even more so on sale. This model is slightly different from the one we tested, but reviews around the web say it’s very similar.

Avocado Green Mattress on bed frame

This mattress is environmentally friendly. It is made of organic latex, organic wool, and organic cotton (in California), with no polyurethane, fire retardants, memory foam, or chemical adhesives. The company is also a certified B Corporation, meaning it purchases enough offsets that it can say it’s a carbon-negative business. The cherry on top is that it’s a pretty darn great mattress too. It has a nice balance of soft and firm, and after a year of use, there isn’t any sagging at all.

Enter HOLIDAYS at Checkout

Here’s another mattress made of organic cotton, wool, and latex. What makes it special is the two-sided option, which means both sides are upholstered the same way, so you can flip the mattress every few months to extend its life. That’s especially handy when kids are constantly jumping around on ’em before bedtime.

The Leesa is another of our favorite mattresses. Its cover is silky smooth and comfortable, and lying on it creates a pressure-relieving feeling as though the mattress is hugging your body. There’s great edge support thanks to the individually wrapped springs. This thing will drift you into bliss in no time. The deal includes two pillows.

vizio oled tv

Vizio OLED.

Photograph: Vizio

Best Buy, Amazon (Out of Stock)

It’s hit this price before, but this is an excellent deal and one of the most affordable ways to get an OLED TV into your home (9/10, WIRED Recommends). The benefit of OLED is that each pixel lights up individually, so when you see black, the pixels are turning off and aren’t illuminated by some other backlight; this produces stunningly dark blacks for excellent contrast. If you have the new Xbox or PlayStation, you can enjoy games in 4K with 120 frames per second.

Best Buy, Amazon (Out of Stock), Walmart (Out of Stock)

This one’s a little more expensive, but you’re getting one of the best viewing experiences that money can buy. It has Google TV installed, so you don’t need another streaming device to watch content, and you can talk to Google Assistant to control it or ask other queries. It also supports AirPlay 2, so you can easily share media from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

AmazonTarget (Out of Stock), Best Buy ($1,300)

If you have a gaming PC with an Nvidia graphics card, you can hook it up to the fantastic LG C1 OLED (8/10, WIRED Recommends) and get G-Sync support for ultra-smooth 120-Hz gameplay. That experience also translates if you hook up an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5. The OLED quality is stunning, and the centered stand makes it easy to place on most TV stands.
